Set in Ashenfall, a long-forgotten continent from RuneScape lore, the game takes players on a journey through a wild land where ancient dragons have awakened. Players can venture out alone or team up with friends to gather resources, build a base, develop their skills, and craft equipment to survive the constant threats around them.

Explore the Ashenfall continent and RuneScape lore

RuneScape: Dragonwilds blends the series' signature mythological style with familiar role-playing elements from the RuneScape franchise. As they progress, players can level up their skills to unlock unique abilities and new spells.

Throughout their journey, players will encounter familiar creatures such as Zogres, battle the Black Knights, and face the Garou, an entirely new and dangerous species. The adventure is accompanied by a varied soundtrack featuring remixed versions of classic RuneScape melodies alongside a selection of new tracks.

A unique magic and survival system

One of the defining gameplay features of RuneScape: Dragonwilds is the abundance of Anima energy throughout Ashenfall, which allows players to use a variety of unique spells to aid their survival. Players can summon a magical axe to chop down trees in an instant, teleport away from danger, transform materials, or extract ore with a snap of their fingers.

Alongside uncovering why wild magic has erupted across the continent, the player's ultimate goal is to prepare their forces, craft equipment, brew useful potions, and track the devastation left behind in an effort to confront the Dragon Queen, the most powerful force on the continent.

Developed with community feedback

According to the developer, the player community has played an important role in shaping the game. Throughout Early Access, community feedback directly influenced the development roadmap, leading to the early addition of dedicated servers, improvements to the combat system, and new quests.

With the official 1.0 release, RuneScape: Dragonwilds is set to continue expanding its content and refining the experience for both solo players and groups playing together in the months ahead.
