The journey from darkness to the heroism of Bruce Wayne

More than just a playful brick-built experience, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight focuses on a deeper interpretation of Batman’s iconic story. The game takes players back to Bruce Wayne’s early years, when he trains with the League of Shadows to sharpen his skills and strengthen his resolve.

From his first steps in the shadows, players witness Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Gotham City’s symbol of justice. Along the way, alliances with trusted allies such as Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl help build a strong hero network capable of facing rising threats across the city.

Improved combat system and a vast open world

One of the standout features in this installment is its completely redesigned combat system. Players can freely chain smooth attack combos, combine stealth mechanics, and use detective skills to solve cases and take down criminals across the streets and rooftops of Gotham City.

The open world of Gotham City is richly detailed and highly immersive. Players can freely drive iconic vehicles such as the Batmobiles and Batcycles, including the legendary Tumbler. Whether swinging through the skyline, gliding across the air, or speeding through city streets, exploration feels fast and fluid. Throughout the journey, players will encounter crime-fighting missions, challenges, rewards, secrets, and famous landmarks such as Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals, and Wayne Tower.

Facing a notorious alliance of villains

To keep Gotham City safe, players must face the growing threat of the Rogues Gallery. Iconic DC villains such as The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane each bring their own sinister plans, requiring players to fully utilize their abilities to counter them.

The game is now available on Steam as of May 22, 2026. Players who preorder the game will receive a special bonus costume: a Batsuit inspired by the legendary comic series The Dark Knight Returns.
