Tokyo – city largest in the history of Forza horizon

The first major highlight of Forza Horizon 6 is Tokyo, rebuilt as the largest urban area ever featured in the series. The city captures a striking contrast between quiet suburbs, historic downtown streets, and busy industrial port areas. The map is designed with diverse terrain, ranging from traditional rural landscapes to dense urban districts, delivering one of the most varied driving experiences in the franchise.

Beyond Tokyo, the Japan map in Forza Horizon 6 includes multiple ecosystems, from mountains and forests to coastal highways, creating a rich and immersive open world.

Over 550 real cars, engine audio, and JDM culture

Forza Horizon 6 features more than 550 real-world cars, including many iconic JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) models long loved by the community. The game also introduces significant driving improvements, with highly detailed engine audio recordings and steering animations supporting up to 540 degrees of rotation, delivering a more realistic driving feel than ever before.

While exploring Japan, players can discover special Forza Edition vehicles with extreme performance upgrades, as well as rare Aftermarket cars available for testing and purchase. Touge battles—head-to-head downhill mountain races inspired by Japanese street racing culture—are one of the most distinctive cultural gameplay features in this installment.

A journey from tourist to Horizon legend

The storyline in Forza Horizon 6 begins with players arriving as tourists, gradually proving themselves to join the Horizon Festival as amateur racers. From there, players climb the ranks through increasingly challenging competitions, earn wristbands, and work toward becoming a Horizon Legend.

Reaching the peak of fame unlocks Legend Island, an exclusive area reserved for the most skilled drivers. The entire campaign can be played solo or cooperatively with friends.

Homes, garages, and your personal world

Beyond racing, Forza Horizon 6 allows players to purchase homes across Japan, each featuring customizable garages to showcase their car collection. Layouts can be downloaded from the community or designed freely by players.

Players can also unlock Valley Estate, a vast mountainous valley where they can freely build and customize their own space within the open world. Favorite cars can be upgraded with body kits, new Forza Aero parts, and even fully customized liveries applied across the vehicle, including glass surfaces.

Multiplayer, CoLab, and community events

Forza Horizon 6 significantly expands its multiplayer experience. Players can join Time Attack circuits, drag meets, car meets, or spec racing championships. A new LINK skill system allows teammates to coordinate during cooperative racing moments.

Returning modes such as The Eliminator and Hide & Seek also make a comeback in Forza Horizon 6.

Accessibility and assistive features

Forza Horizon 6 aims to be the most accessible entry in the series. It introduces multiple assistive features such as granular high contrast mode, car proximity radar, and auto-drive, making it easier for more players to enjoy Japan’s landscapes and in-game music. Support for American Sign Language (ASL) and British Sign Language (BSL) will also be added post-launch.
