Released on July 28, 2026, Halo: Campaign Evolved marks the return of the legendary Halo: Combat Evolved, 25 years after Master Chief first set foot on the mysterious ringworld. For first-person shooter (FPS) fans, this is one of the most highly anticipated revivals of a classic.

Built from the ground up, Halo: Campaign Evolved is far more than a visual upgrade. It delivers a fully modernized version of the original campaign while preserving the spirit of the iconic adventure.

Relive the beginning of Master Chief's journey

The story remains faithful to the original. After making an emergency landing on the mysterious ringworld known as Halo, Master Chief and his allies must survive against the overwhelming Covenant forces. Together with the AI companion Cortana, players gradually uncover Halo's dark secrets while fighting to prevent a threat that could wipe out all life across the galaxy.

Completely overhauled graphics, audio, and gameplay

Every mission from the original campaign has been rebuilt with HD visuals, updated cinematics, and refined level design. The game's sound effects and soundtrack have also been completely remastered, making every battle feel more immersive than ever.

Gameplay has also received meaningful improvements. Halo's signature gunplay now feels smoother thanks to enhanced controls, while the arsenal has been expanded with nine iconic weapons brought over from other entries in the series.

Three new missions: Operation: Meteorite

The biggest addition in Halo: Campaign Evolved is a brand-new set of three missions called Operation: Meteorite. In this standalone campaign, players once again take on the role of Master Chief, fighting alongside Sgt. Johnson through new combat environments, facing new enemies, and experiencing gameplay mechanics never seen before in the original game.

New feature: Hijack and drive the Wraith

Halo's iconic vehicle system has also received a major upgrade. For the first time in Halo: Combat Evolved campaign content, players can hijack enemy vehicles during combat and take direct control of the powerful Wraith tank.

Play solo or enjoy four-player co-op with cross-play support

Players can experience the entire campaign solo or team up with friends in online co-op for up to four players. The game includes full cross-play support as well as cross-progression between PC and consoles.

Replayability is further enhanced by the return of the Skulls system, a collection of optional gameplay modifiers that can dramatically change battles by altering weapons, enemies, and environmental conditions.
