Tears of Metal, the co-op hack-and-slash action game, officially launched in Steam Early Access on July 22, 2026. The game throws players into massive battles where you can fight alone or team up with friends to defend your homeland against an invading army.

The story of Tears of Metal begins after the Dragon Stone Meteor disaster unleashes waves of enemies across your homeland. The invading army harnesses the mysterious power of the Mother Dragon Stone, also known as the Mother Stone, threatening the survival of the entire island. As fearless warriors, players join a Scottish battalion to turn the tide of war and drive back the invaders.

Upgrade your battalion and expand your settlement

Tears of Metal goes beyond individual skill by emphasizing teamwork and long-term progression.

Soldiers in your Scottish battalion gain experience from every battle and unlock permanent upgrades between campaigns. Recruiting, training, and protecting your troops are essential to surviving increasingly difficult encounters.

After each campaign, players return to their settlement to expand and improve it. Constructing new buildings unlocks additional shops, permanent upgrades, tougher challenges with greater rewards, new playable characters, cosmetics, and hidden secrets waiting to be discovered on the battlefield.

Play solo or in four-player co-op
