ZeroSpace officially launches in Early Access on Steam, blending sci-fi RTS and RPG

ZeroSpace, a sci-fi real-time strategy (RTS) game, officially entered Early Access on Steam on July 20, 2026. The game combines RTS gameplay with RPG elements, offering fast-paced large-scale battles alongside a story-driven campaign where player choices shape the narrative.

A unique blend of sci-fi strategy and RPG gameplay

In ZeroSpace, players take on the role of Aster, commander of The Protectorate. Your mission is to defend humanity's position in space during the fierce conflict across the Orion sector, where multiple alien factions compete for dominance over the galaxy.

The game blends classic real-time strategy mechanics with deep RPG systems. Players can command infantry, artillery, and air units to gain control of the battlefield. Orbital weapons, nuclear strikes, and massive mechs add even more tactical depth. Beyond military strategy, political decisions and dialogue choices directly influence the fate of the galaxy.

ZeroSpace features several playable factions, each with its own distinctive combat style:

  • Protectorate: Humanity's veteran defense force, specializing in elite tactics and overwhelming firepower supported by powerful mech divisions for breakthrough assaults and frontline domination.
  • Grell: A highly evolved plant-like species capable of spreading biomass across the battlefield and adapting through rapid evolution to eliminate enemies.
  • Legion: A fanatical empire devoted to its emperor and divine entities, fielding vast numbers of Thralls, Fanatics, and the formidable Terror Tank mobile fortress.
  • Xol: A civilization of autonomous robotic intelligences equipped with some of the galaxy's most advanced robotics, fighting to ensure their survival against devastating crusades.

Key features available in Early Access

The Early Access version already includes a substantial amount of content, including:

  • A single-player campaign featuring 15 main story missions, 10 hero loyalty missions, and 15 side missions. The branching dialogue system and player choices are inspired by classic RPGs such as Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate.
  • More than 10 unique heroes from multiple factions available throughout the campaign for relationship building, along with more than 14 heroes that can be selected in multiplayer matches.
  • A persistent galaxy map where progress across multiple game modes contributes to a shared galactic conflict, including Solo, Co-op, PvE, 2vAI, 2v2, and 1v1.
  • An optimized unit management and control system designed to accommodate both players who enjoy detailed micromanagement and those who prefer commanding large armies efficiently.
