After spending two years growing alongside its community during Early Access, Fields of Mistria, the farming/life sim RPG developed and published by NPC Studio, has officially launched version 1.0 on Steam on August 5, 2026.

This marks the game's most significant update since entering Early Access, completing the planned content, gameplay systems, and storyline envisioned by the development team.

Building a new life in the world of Mistria

Fields of Mistria takes players to the charming town of Mistria, nestled between lush forests and the sea. After a devastating earthquake leaves the region in ruins and mysterious magical energy begins to emerge, players inherit a neglected but promising farm, giving them the opportunity to build a new life while helping restore the town to its former glory.

Inspired by classic late-1990s farming sim RPGs, Fields of Mistria lets players customize their character, home, and farm to match their personal style. Alongside familiar activities such as farming, fishing, mining, and crafting, the game also features exploration, combat, and adventures through ancient ruins.

Major additions in version 1.0

Version 1.0 introduces many of the community's most requested features. The biggest highlights are the addition of marriage and children, completing the relationship system for the game's 12 romance candidates. Previously, relationships could only progress to an eight-heart bond during Early Access.

The full release also adds new dungeon quests, completes the town restoration storyline, introduces new NPCs to the weekend market, and adds Japanese language support for the first time since the game debuted.

Players can continue enjoying the farming sim gameplay loop by tending their farm through all four seasons, raising and breeding animals to discover rare color variants, unlocking magical abilities for both farming and exploration, participating in seasonal festivals, and getting to know the stories of more than 30 townspeople.

With its official departure from Early Access, Fields of Mistria is poised to remain one of the standout titles in the farming/life sim genre, especially for players who enjoy a cozy atmosphere, relaxing gameplay, and light fantasy adventures.
