Corsair Cove, a city-building game that blends pirate management with strategic gameplay, officially launched on Steam on July 31, 2026. Set during the final years of the Golden Age of Piracy, the game challenges players to build an island stronghold, manage a growing fleet, and fend off relentless Crown forces while proudly flying the Jolly Roger.

Build across rugged island terrain

After surviving a shipwreck on a deserted island, players must transform the isolated land into a heavily fortified pirate haven. One of Corsair Cove's standout features is the ability to construct buildings on steep cliffs and hilltops. With flat land in short supply, players must make the most of vertical space to develop residential areas, taverns, docks, and cannon foundries.

Complex production chains and logistics

Transporting resources across the island's cliffs requires players to build networks of rope bridges, ziplines, and other mechanical transport systems. The game features more than 50 types of goods within its production chain, ranging from hardtack and turtle soup to clothing, weapons, and wooden prosthetic legs for injured sailors.

Manage your crew and social hierarchy

Your crew is divided into multiple social groups, each with its own needs. Basic workers keep the settlement's supply chain running, while gunners, navigators, and veteran pirates expect a higher standard of living along with premium goods such as telescopes, tobacco, pistols, and eye patches. Failing to meet these demands will lower crew morale, causing sailors to abandon your base.

Explore the seas and fight turn-based naval battles

Certain resources, including grain, whale blubber, and silver, cannot be produced on the island. To obtain them, players must send their fleet on expeditions to raid merchant ships, trade with others, or assault enemy fortresses. Naval combat unfolds through a turn-based battle system that rewards smart combinations of ships, crew members, and captains. While exploring the open sea, players may also encounter legendary creatures such as giant whales and the fearsome Kraken.

Progression and development

Corsair Cove features four main progression paths: Notoriety, Empire, Seafaring, and Wealth. Investing in these branches unlocks new buildings, advanced transportation technologies, and more powerful warships to challenge the Crown's growing naval forces.
