Developer NC has officially launched Aion 2 on October 5, 2026, an online multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) centered on aerial combat. Built on Unreal Engine 5 and released exclusively for PC, the game introduces a vast fantasy world that is 36 times larger than its predecessor.

The sky is the battlefield: A true three-dimensional combat experience

Unlike many other games in the genre, Aion 2 builds its entire gameplay system around vertical space. For the Daeva, flight is more than just a means of transportation—it becomes a core method of combat. Gaining the high ground provides a clear tactical advantage, creating intense three-dimensional encounters in the air.

Aion 2 features a massive map that is 36 times larger than that of its predecessor. Every region, dungeon, and combat zone has been carefully designed to enhance the freedom of flight and exploration.

Combat requires precision, accurate timing, and smart positioning. Rather than simply cycling through skills in a fixed order, players can freely chain abilities, customize their characters to suit their preferred playstyle, and adapt their tactics to changing conditions on the battlefield.

Aion 2 offers a wealth of PvE content, with more than 200 dungeons spanning various formats, from solo challenges and five-player group dungeons to 10-player boss battles. Open-world events, seasonal challenges, and competitive leaderboards also help keep the game world active.

The Abyss remains a battleground where boss hunts and long-running faction wars collide, ensuring that players can experience intense encounters wherever they go.

Aion 2's character creation system offers more than 200 detailed customization options, allowing players to create a distinctive appearance for their characters. The game also features a wide variety of outfits, wings, and mounts.

In addition, the Shugo Festival features a series of entertaining minigames, including protecting Shugo characters from enemy attacks, pet racing, and dodging laser beams. Taking part in these activities rewards players with items such as outfits, wings, pets, and decorative items.
