Road to Vostok is a hardcore single-player FPS survival game that has officially launched on PC. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic border region between Finland and Russia, where players must survive, gather resources, and carefully plan their journey toward the end-game area called Vostok.

Journey through dangerous territories

In Road to Vostok, players begin their journey in Area 05, an evacuation zone in southeastern Finland. This is where you can find shelters, trade with traders, and complete early missions. However, this relative safety is constantly threatened by aggressive Bandits.

The ultimate goal is to move east toward Vostok. This is the highest-risk area but also contains the most valuable loot in the game.

Survival mechanics and permadeath system

One of the standout features of Road to Vostok is its unforgiving permadeath system. If you fall in Area 05 or the Border Zone, you only lose the gear you are carrying. However, once you enter Vostok—a region controlled by elite Military forces—death means losing all progress and inventory of your character.

Dynamic world and realistic item system

The game features detailed simulation systems that enhance realism:

  • Day and night cycle and weather system: A full 24-hour cycle with dynamic weather ranging from clear skies to thunderstorms, and even auroras in the night sky.
  • Seasonal changes: The world shifts between summer and winter, forcing players to deal with snow and freezing conditions.
  • Bartering system: Money has no value in this world. Players trade goods based on practical value such as food, medicine, and essential supplies.
  • Shelter customization: Shelters are not only used for storage and saving the game, but can also be fully customized in interior design based on player preference.
