A haunting reunion

Chloe Price — Max’s former companion — suddenly appears at Caledon University, where Max is currently studying. Chloe is plagued by nightmares and unexplained memories. She needs Max. But Max is also facing a personal crisis: within three days, a massive fire is set to destroy the entire campus.

Max’s legendary Rewind ability has bought her more time — but she cannot stop the disaster alone. Max and Chloe are forced to make difficult, life-altering choices. Can they find a future together before everything goes up in flames?

Playable as both characters

The most notable new feature in Reunion is that players can control both Max and Chloe throughout the journey. As Max, the familiar Rewind mechanic returns — allowing players to rewind time, redo decisions, change dialogue outcomes, and solve multidimensional puzzles in multiple ways.

As Chloe, the gameplay shifts significantly: she relies on intuition, defiance, and her signature sharp-witted Backtalk mechanic to uncover the truth behind overlapping memories and persistent nightmares. This marks the first time Chloe has been a playable lead since Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

Outcomes shaped entirely by player choice

According to the official description, Reunion is designed as a "grand finale" to Max and Chloe’s journey. No one on the Caledon campus is safe from the approaching fire — players must uncover the cause of the disaster before it is too late. Who survives? The answer depends entirely on your choices.

Music and atmosphere

The Life is Strange series is well known for its distinctive soundtrack, and Reunion continues that tradition with an entirely new original score — blending custom compositions with licensed tracks, ranging from nostalgic pieces to brand-new songs.
